earth changes is there a exact date or should you not think like that?
i do not think there is a exact date for these proposed earth changes that might take place, if you think you have some kind of exact date for earth changes like say this year, i think personally that there actually is no exact date and time for these earth changes.
one thing these earth changes might happen over a gradual period of time and not just all at once on one particular date.
and also i do not think it is correct to think things will happen on one particular date at a certain time, this is people thinking this way so that they are in control, and do not have to realise they are not in control, and it is other forces that are actually in control when it comes to things like changes happening on planet earth.
this year though they will be a lot of people getting into or onto the band wagon that there will something major happen at the end of the year, on a exact date, but i do not think it will work this, way and if there is going to be earth changes they will be spread out over various dates.

what is real? for a atheist or a religious person do they agree on the beauty in the world?
even though atheists and religious people do not seem to agree on what is real or what is the truth in the world?, or if there is a god or if there is any value in spirituality.
do atheists and people who believe in religion believe in the beauty of this world?, i think they do, where atheists and religious people seem to differ is that atheists believe that every thing happened by accident, whereas religious or spiritual people believe that there was a creator or a designer called god who created everything.
i.e. people who believe in religion and the spiritual side of life believe in intelligent design whereas as atheists do not seem to believe in intelligent design just a process of evolution that created the intelligent design.
the reason i say intelligent design is that in nature you can find patterns and sequences that repeating like a code used by a designer, geometric processes are common in nature, repeating forms and patterns that make up the beauty of this world.
this is one area i think atheists can agree with none atheists is just the beauty in the world, the spiritual serenity that is present?.

i think in these beautiful pictures of nature atheists and people who believe in religion can agree on the beauty and serenity in creation?.
i think some of these pictures remind me of fractals in nature, repeating sequences that go into infinity and i see these as possible signs of a intelligent designer, atheists view these differently as a process of evolution, but what can be agreed is that creation has a beautiful side to it as is shown in these pictures wether you believe in a religion or atheist
i also think pictures like this are a sign of gods work in 2012 in creating and sustaining a world with such beautiful designs and texture full of a very varied and creative landscape as can be seen in these lovely pictures of nature
what is or does ascension mean 2012 about religious or spiritual?
a popular topic this year in 2012 is going to be ascension and what it means and is it part of religion or religious beliefs, for me ascension should be more to a individual and how they find there way in the world, rather then a defined event at some defined date.
i think ascension is more a personal thing for each individual and something you live through your daily activities and finding what suits you in your life and your religious beliefs.
ascension is not something to be forced or chased, it is something i would put in to the same bracket as just growing and learning as you do in life, whereas a lot of people have a belief of ascension being something they can make happen.
whereas they would be better letting god control there lifes more then anything, and being more open minded then closed minded to the world and there beliefs, while letting other people have there own religious beliefs.
i do not think there is any specific date of ascension for anyone, jesus christ said himself "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."
this would mean there is no specific ascension 2012 date or day or time and your spiritual life is your own journey planned by god.
the reason i think there is no ascension date is due to the quote from the bible where jesus says in Matthew 24:36 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father". this is what jesus christ said about ascension in the bible, only god knows if 2012 is real.
this christian passage describes ascension and says no one knows date of each persons ascension this means ascension is a personal event and not a group event it only happens to the individual and not groups of individuals, but to the person by themselves, as said by jesus christ in the bible.

what is the book of life about?
what is the book of life about is one of those mysteries though, in reality there are quite a few things known about the book of life, i think it is jesus who refers to the book of life being a record of all the names of souls and life itself.
wiki says this part,
"In the Old Testament, the Book of Life is the book or muster-roll of God, in which all the people who are considered righteous before God are recorded forever. God has such a book, and to be blotted out of it, signifies death"
"Every one that shall be found written in the book . . . shall awake to everlasting life"
so i the bookof life is not so much a physical book you can find on earth, but more so a book god has, but this is not to say you cannot read the book of life, as it is noted that the books of god can be read, through some kind of inner sight, this is said to be possible.

the matrix 4?
what about the matrix movie, now that is one movie that has so much in it, and not so much a new age religion, but, the wachowski brothers take on reality.
the matrix as a film is like a very philosophical expose on the concept of "what if we live inside a matrix".
another idea of the film is also, could this be the real concept of reality.
a very interesting film, quite a old film now as well the original matrix film came out over 10 years ago now!.

it would be great if there was a "the matrix 4" film made, but the question that is always asked first is how could there be a "the matrix 4" when the first 3 matrix films, covered and completed the topic so completely it would be difficult to think of what could the matrix 4 even be about?.
there is the option that if there was a matrix 4 it could follow on from were matrix 3 left off and show how the process starts, as we kind of watched the end of the process with the first 3 films, in a kind of star wars way.
if it was practical it would be nice to see a "the matrix 4"

if you have not seen the matrix trilogy of films i would recommend watching them, all 3, i think they are one of the best movies ever made really.
the matrix movies as religious education?, they are good for pondering over that is for sure, and there is no doubt that the matrix movies are rich in religious symbolism!, neo had some elements of jesus christ to him in the film, but it was not just christian religious symbols used in the film but lots of different religions symbols and meanings can be found encoded in the films.

christmas religious symbols pictures and meanings 2011 pagan and christian
a look at some of the christmas religious symbols in pictures and there meanings.
it is a debatable which is the most important christmas religious symbol, some would say the christmas tree, some would say jesus christ and the nativity, some would say the cross, it is also debatable whether christmas is only a christian celebration as pagans also celebrate christmas as well.
the main part of christmas is the celebrating of the birth of jesus christ and the christmas nativity, which is one of the main aspects of the xmas celebrations.
other important aspects can also be the christmas tree, which might be popular with the pagan christmas celebrations also.
but all in all christmas should be a time of celebration whichever religion, and a time of peace.
of course the christmas presents are popular but what religious symbolic meaning do they have is also probably debatable.
the pagans say that father christmas and xmas presents relate to there pagan ways of old for example, where the priest dressed in red like father christmas would give gifts to the tribe to celebrate the sun reaching its lowest point on the 25th and then the rising of the sun starting from then on for a new year.
so the can be debate between religions on who has what on the holy day and night of christmas 25th december and around the various christmas dates.

AT the time Herod the Tetrarch heard the fame of Jesus.
2 And he said to his servants: This is John the Baptist: he is risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works shew forth themselves in him.

THE same day Jesus going out of the house, sat by the sea side.
2 And great multitudes were gathered unto him, so that he went up into a boat and sat: and all the multitude stood on the shore.
3 And he spoke to them many things in parables, saying: Behold the sower went forth to sow.
4 And whilst he soweth some fell by the way side, and the birds of the air came and ate them up.
5 And other some fell upon stony ground, where they had not much earth: and they sprung up immediately, because they had no deepness of earth.
6 And when the sun was up they were scorched: and because they had not root, they withered away.

AT that time Jesus went through the corn on the sabbath: and his disciples being hungry, began to pluck the ears, and to eat.
2 And the Pharisees seeing them, said to him: Behold thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days.
3 But he said to them: Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, and they that were with him:
4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the loaves of proposition, which it was not lawful for him to eat, nor for them that were with him, but for the priests only?
5 Or have ye not read in the law, that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple break the sabbath, and are without blame?
6 But I tell you that there is here a greater than the temple.
7 And if you knew what this meaneth: I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: you would never have condemned the innocent.
8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath.

29 Or how can any one enter into the house of the strong, and rifle his goods, unless he first bind the strong? and then he will rifle his house.

31 Therefore I say to you: Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but the blasphemy of the Spirit shall not be forgiven.
32 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but he that shall speak against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come.
33 Either make the tree good and its fruit good: or make the tree evil, and its fruit evil. For by the fruit the tree is known.

36 But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall render an account for it in the day of judgment.

39 Who answering said to them: An evil and adulterous generation seeketh a sign: and a sign shall not be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
40 For as Jonas was in the whale's belly three days and three nights: so shall the Son of man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.
41 The men of Ninive shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they did penance at the preaching of Jonas. And behold a greater than Jonas here.
42 The queen of the south shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold a greater than Solomon here.
43 And when an unclean spirit is gone out of a man he walketh through dry places seeking rest, and findeth none.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
38 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying: Master we would see a sign from thee.
39 Who answering said to them: An evil and adulterous generation seeketh a sign: and a sign shall not be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
40 For as Jonas was in the whale's belly three days and three nights: so shall the Son of man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.
41 The men of Ninive shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they did penance at the preaching of Jonas. And behold a greater than Jonas here.

AND it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he passed from thence, to teach and preach in their cities.
2 Now when John had heard in prison the works of Christ: sending two of his disciples he said to him:
3 Art thou he that art to come, or look we for another?
4 And Jesus making answer said to them: Go and relate to John what you have heard and seen.
5 The blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead rise again, the poor have the gospel preached to them.
6 And blessed is he that shall not be scandalized in me.
7 And when they went their way, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John: What went you out into the desert to see? a reed shaken with the wind?
8 But what went you out to see? a man clothed in soft garments? Behold they that are clothed in soft garments, are in the houses of kings.
9 But what went you out to see? a prophet? yea I tell you, and more than a prophet.
10 For this is he of whom it is written: Behold I send my angel before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee.
11 Amen I say to you, there hath not risen among them that are born of women a greater than John the Baptist: yet he that is the lesser in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent bear it away.
13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John:
14 And if you will receive it, he is Elias that is to come.
15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
16 But whereunto shall I esteem this generation to be like? It is like to children sitting in the market place.
17 Who crying to their companions say: We have piped to you, and you have not danced: we have lamented, and you have not mourned.
18 For John came neither eating nor drinking; and they say: He hath a devil.
19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say: Behold a man that is a glutton and a wine drinker, a friend of publicans and sinners. And wisdom is justified by her children.
20 Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein were done the most of his miracles, for that they had not done penance.
21 Woe to thee, Corozain, woe to thee, Bethsaida: for if in Tyre and Sidon had been wrought the miracles that have been wrought in you, they had long ago done penance in sackcloth and ashes.
22 But I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment, than for you.
23 And thou Capharnaum, shalt thou be exalted up to heaven? thou shalt go down even unto hell. For if in Sodom had been wrought the miracles that have been wrought in thee, perhaps it had remained unto this day.
24 But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
25 At that time Jesus answered and said: I confess to thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to the little ones.
26 Yea, Father; for so hath it seemed good in thy sight.
27 All things are delivered to me by my Father. And no one knoweth the Son, but the Father: neither doth any one know the Father, but the Son, and he to whom it shall please the Son to reveal him.
28 Come to me, all you that labour, and are burdened, and I will refresh you.
29 Take up my yoke upon you, and learn of me, because I am meek, and humble of heart: and you shall find rest to your souls.

AND having called his twelve disciples together, he gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of diseases, and all manner of infirmities.

This is a famous and beautiful 19th century Christian hymn by Sarah Flower Adams.
It is said that the band of the RMS Titanic and SS Valencia both played this till the very end while their ships sank into the ocean.
It is a very moving and wonderful piece. Its usage in Jame Cameron's "Titanic" is absolutely awe inspiring and unbelievably moving.

Hillsong Music recorded a version of the hymn after singing a 'version of the old hymn' in church. The song was recorded in Sydney in three days, mixed in England overnight and finally mastered in LA. All proceeds from the recording go to help the Queensland Flood Relief Effort. This version of the song features Darlene Zschech singing solo and an added Bridge written by Reuben Morgan and Ben Fielding.
This hymn was written after several traumatic events in Spafford's life. The first was the death of his only son in 1871 at the age of four, shortly followed by the great Chicago Fire which ruined him financially (he had been a successful lawyer). Then in 1873, he had planned to travel to Europe with his family on the SS Ville du Havre, but sent the family ahead while he was delayed on business concerning zoning problems following the Great Chicago Fire. While crossing the Atlantic, the ship sank rapidly after a collision with a sailing ship, the Loch Earn, and all four of Spafford's daughters died. His wife Anna survived and sent him the now famous telegram, "Saved alone." Shortly afterwards, as Spafford traveled to meet his grieving wife, he was inspired to write these words as his ship passed near where his daughters had died.
Bliss called his tune Ville du Havre, from the name of the stricken vessel.
The Spaffords later had three more children, one of whom (a son) died in infancy. In 1881 the Spaffords, including baby Bertha and newborn Grace, set sail for Israel. The Spaffords moved to Jerusalem and helped found a group called the American Colony; its mission was to serve the poor. The colony later became the subject of the Nobel prize winning Jerusalem, by Swedish novelist Selma Lagerlöf.
The Georgia Southern University marching band Southern Pride plays the song at the end of each game. Christian metalcore band, Haste the Day, named their band after a verse in the hymn.

ST. MATTHEW, one of the twelve Apostles, who from being a publican, that is, a taxgatherer, was called by our Saviour to the Apostleship: in that profession his name was LEVI. (Luke 5. 27, and Mark 2. 14.) He was the first of the Evangelists that wrote the Gospel, and that in Hebrew or Syro-Chaldaic which the Jews in Palestine spoke at that time. The original is not now extant; but as it was translated in the time of the Apostles into Greek, that version was of equal authority. He wrote about six years after our Lord's Ascension.
