why cannot christianity be new age religion?

christian religion is essentially as new age as any other religion in the fact that it is a new religion to someone first looking into religion, so for a new seeker of knowledge christian teachings and the bible are essentially new or new age to them.

regardless that many peoples definition of the new age means a new time in history and a shift in peoples thinkings, the lessons in christian religion can still be new age and complimentary to any religious systems of thought.

it would be like saying buddhism cannot be used in the new age when buddhism is possible older religion then christianity.

if you say well christianity is a old religion and old way of thinking, but have buddhism in your group of new age thinking then what is the difference from christian theology? in that respect there is not really much difference.

if you say well buddhists meditate, but so do christian monks meditate and so on.

and do not all religions share common ideas in the end as well, though they do have some big differences as well, it would be narrow minded to excuse some christian ideals from your new age system.

if the new age has pagan religions in it then pagan religions are probably the oldest on the planet and so age of a religion does not have anything much to do with what religious thought can be new age and what cannot be new age religious thought.
