i think a part of the new age is the growth in free online fortune telling and various websites for people to get mystical style help from fortune tellers, in the past few years also online readings from mystics over the phone has been popular.
also there is also a physic channel on tv where people can get advice from mediums and fortune tellers.
this popularity in mediums is part of also the new age craze as well, not always a bad thing, but people also need to remember not to be fooled by some of these mediums who can use dubious means to pretend to be in touch with people on the other side, when really some of these mediums are using techniques like cold calling and suggestion.
